GENERAL DESCRIPTION

NIVELCO NIVOROTA E-700/800 rotary pedal level switch (limit switch) or rotary level switch (flag type level switch), for detecting the level of lumpy or dusty materials (fly ash, sand, coal, feed) and granules available.

The rotary level switch can be installed in tanks, silos and hoppers and can be used to remove stones, fly ash, sand, coal, feed, beet slice, etc. It can monitor and control the filling and discharging of stored materials. When the material reaches the pedal, the motor is turned off and the output switch is triggered. When the material level drops, the vane rotates freely again, the motor is reactivated and the switch returns to its original state. The new series NIVOROTA E-700 and E-800 rotary level switches provide all the advantageous features of the indoor unit of the previous series. Rotary Pedal Level Switch Type Selection
The following should be considered when selecting the appropriate model:
Insertion length:
– The level switching application (low or high level switch) and mounting position determine the insertion length.
Number of pedals:
– The specific gravity and particle size of the material provide orientation for the number of pedals.
–The most commonly used stainless steel has a single pedal and this pedal is passed through the corresponding threaded connection.
– For lighter materials, it is recommended to use a 3-blade pedal.
Flexible connection:
– It is used if the shaft of the shaft needs to be protected against falling substances. (rocks, larger lumpy materials)

What are the Requirements for Mounting a Rotary Pedal Level Switch?
The unit must be protected from strong material ingress by choosing the appropriate installation site or by using an overhead guard plate. When the instrument is installed near the tank, the cone or arch of the material must be taken into account. The device should be screwed into 1″ or 1 ½” screw, it will go through 1″ or 1 ½” hole with single pedal. If the hole is even larger or other considerations are required, suitable mounting plates are used and the torque spring position is adjusted according to the density of the material (for higher density, a higher torque setting should be used). If the insertion length can be customized for any technological reason, rod extended versions or optional sliding arm available for cutting cable can be realized in extended versions to required lengths, the counterweight provides a taut condition for the cable and prevents the pedal from ‘bending’ to the middle surface.
